Billy served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CVA 63) as an Aviation Machinist Mate off of the coast of Vietnam in 1971. He worked on my favorite fighter, the Phantom F-4 (above, left). The photo to the right, Billy at his locker while stationed at Key West in 1969 (while I was freezing my ass off up at Great Lakes).
